The project “The City Named After Uncle Ho” was carried out by a group of students from Dinh Thien Ly Secondary and High School to honor and preserve the culture of Ho Chi Minh City.

Formerly known as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City was honored to be named after the then-President, Ho Chi Minh. The city is recognized as the economic powerhouse of southern Vietnam, serving as the country’s largest commercial port in terms of trade volume and the most rapidly developing urban area in the nation.
